The newest study from PM Solutions Research shows -- again -- that high-performing companies invest more in PM training.

Every two years PM Solutions updates its research study on the roles and value of the PMO. The newest study, just released in May, caught my attention at page 3 with the finding that PMOs in high-performing organizations engage in more training activities. Later in the report, this finding is expanded on. Here's a quote:

HIGH PERFORMERS EMPHASIZE TRAINING
PMOs have remained steady in their focus on training; 57% of PMOs are
responsible for PM training delivery, with the vast majority focusing on training
in PM basics. It’s interesting to note, however, that a significantly higher
percentage of PMOs in high-performing organizations are responsible for
training — 70%. And these PMOs place much more emphasis on leadership
and business alignment training and advanced PM skill development.
We believe that this focus on a broader, deeper education in project
management is part of the reason these organizations deliver more value.

I couldn't have said it better myself!

It's rewarding to know that our focus here at PM College is in tune with the changing needs of project management functions. We have expanded and changed our lineup of more advanced courses, added special topics like Business Skills, and urged companies to train widely, not just project managers.

Let us help your organization become a "high performer"!
