Yes, hours spent in the PM Professional Coach program qualify for contact hours towards certification. The educational requirement from PMI is to have 35 contact hours (for the PMP) and 23 contact hours (for the CAPM) in project management education completed prior to submitting the certification application. (Please see Question #6, below, for more information on earning hours.) PM College is a Registered Education Provider (REP®) for PMI.
Yes, you can receive up to 15 PDUs through this self study program based on PMI’s PDU program. The Re-Certification Package is designed to meet this need.
Yes, a program certificate will be immediately available for print upon completion of the program. Completion is defined as passing the Final Test and completing all of your hours.
You must be active in the program and pass the Final Test in order to earn the number of hours you have purchased on your certificate. For the PMP Prep package you will earn 40 hours, for the Core Knowledge package 25 hours, and for the Re-Certification package 15 hours.
If you complete your PM Professional Coach Final Test before your access time has expired, you may go back into the program to finish out the duration of your purchase.
No. The PM Professional Coach is designed for any learner, at any level of the organization that wants to learn more about project management. Program use recommendations are divided into packages to match learner needs to the many capabilities of the program. After payment is submitted successfully, you will be able to access the PM Professional Coach tool immediately.
PM Professional Coach is accessed via PM College’s Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS undergoes system maintenance at approximately 4:00pm Eastern on Fridays. At this time during the week, the LMS system is not able to be accessed.
PM Coach will allow three attempts at the PMP Exam Prep test. Question pooling allows you to get a different experience each time, which really builds practice for when you sit for the PMI exam. Using this method gives you more practice for the actual PMP exam and insures you are well prepared.
The Final Test is a test that covers the content of PM Coach, it’s goal is to test for understanding. The PMP Exam Prep test is more of a practice test that simulates the actual PMP test that is offered through PMI.
The User Info tab within the PM Coach tool tracks the time you have spent in the system. Please note however, that PM Coach is purchased for 15, 25 or 40 hours that must be accomplished within the associated timeframe as well:
