New Study: Training Is a Differentiator for Top PMOs

Posted by Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin

Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin is editor-in-chief for PM Solutions Research, and the author, co-author and editor of over twenty books on project management, including the 2007 PMI Literature Award winner, The AMA Handbook of Project Management, Second Edition.

The new research study I discussed last week in this blog, The State of the PMO 2016, has now been released. The study offers a wealth of data concerning the training and development functions and strategies of PMOs in a wide range of industries.

What makes this study -- now in its fourth biennial release -- so unique is that PM Solutions Research not only collects information on the trends within the industry, but also uses an array of organizational performance metrics to provide an indication of what strategies and functions are most valuable to the PMO's host organization.

For the full story of how best-in-class PMOs use training and development to help their organizations acheive strategic goals, read more here.
