About Us

Differentiators

PM College works closely with our clients to create a training curriculum that focuses on competencies aligned to organizational goals. Here are just a few of the unique differentiators and capabilities of our training organization:

  • PM College is dedicated exclusively to providing onsite training and focused learning programs to strengthen the abilities of our clients' project personnel.
  • Project Management Institute
  • All PM College offerings are in alignment with the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and PMI’s A Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) 3rd Edition. PM College is recognized by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) as a Charter Global Registered Education Provider (provider #1020). This alignment and commitment to PMI has existed since the founding of PM College. Our CEO and founder, J. Kent Crawford, PMP, is a past President and Chair of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and led PMI during one of its largest growth periods in its history. Likewise, many of the operations staff at PM College have previously held positions with PMI and helped advance the organization and its mission.
  • Our current staff of instructors boasts some of the most respected names in the project management business. PM College applies rigorous criteria when selecting instructors to lead our programs. All PM College instructors are certified Project Management Professionals (PMPs), a designation awarded by the Project Management Institute. Our team of project management educators and practitioners has delivered courses to thousands of course participants worldwide.
  • PM College is an experienced world leader in providing PM training globally. Our faculty members have delivered training to organizations in more than 40 countries throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia through a balance of local and expert instructors.
  • The International Association for Continuing Education and Training PM College has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 8405 Greensboro Drive, Suite 800, McLean, VA 22102. CEUs are widely accepted as evidence of educational attainment for post-secondary learning. PM College course participants are awarded 0.7 CEUs for each day (1 CEU per 10 hours) of course participation. To earn CEUs and receive a certificate of completion, participants are required to attend the entire class and pass the final exam, where applicable. Refer to individual course descriptions to learn more about CEUs awarded for each PM College program.
  • Project Management Essentials
  • PM College has published Project Management Essentials, an introductory text that covers the basic concepts of the five fundamental project management processes, defining requirements, schedules, risk management, and change control. This book is also used as a companion handout in our Project Management Essentials courses.
  • Unique within our industry, PM College leverages our research and publications arm, the Center for Business Practices, to infuse our training curriculum with the latest industry statistics and best practices to help course participants understand current trends and key concepts relevant to advancing the project management profession.
  • PM College’s relationship management, customer care, and responsiveness have been our differentiator in establishing strong customer relationships and in maintaining them for the years following. Our success has been highlighted by the many referrals and references we get from our existing clients, and it is not uncommon for us to gain new customer relationships with companies that had previous relationships with other project management training providers.

At PM College, we treat each client as a valued partner. We bring improved project management capabilities directly to our clients, creating short-term productivity gains and long-term business value.
